Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is recruiting an experienced and dynamic Access, Safety & Base Manager to support its humanitarian operations in Cameroon.

🔹 About DRC
DRC has been operating in West and Central Africa since 1998, providing humanitarian assistance, protection services, resilience support, and peacebuilding activities for vulnerable populations including refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
🔹 Main Responsibilities
✅ Oversee base management and operational planning
✅ Ensure implementation of DRC Safety Risk Management Systems (SRMS)
✅ Manage humanitarian access and safety protocols
✅ Supervise finance, HR, logistics, procurement, and administration
✅ Conduct safety risk assessments and incident management
✅ Build relationships with donors, NGOs, UN agencies, and authorities
✅ Provide safety training and mentorship to staff
✅ Support program continuity in complex humanitarian settings

🔹 Requirements
✔ 3–5 years’ experience as a Safety & Security Manager/Advisor with an INGO
✔ Experience working in multicultural and hostile environments
✔ Strong project management and organizational skills
✔ Experience in safety risk assessments and incident management
✔ Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
✔ Full proficiency in both English and French
✔ Master’s degree in Political Science, Peace & Conflict Studies, Disaster Management, Military Studies, or related field (Bachelor’s degree with strong experience may be considered)
